Audit and assurance for companies, LLPs and institutions

An audit gives owners, lenders and regulators a reliable view of the financial statements. We carry out statutory, internal, forensic and bank audit assignments under partner supervision.

Who this is for

Companies and LLPs that need an annual audit, businesses that want an independent review of their internal controls, and banks and financial institutions that appoint chartered accountants for branch-level assignments.

Types of audit we carry out

Statutory audit

Annual audit of companies and LLPs in line with the applicable law and auditing standards.

Bank audit

Statutory, revenue and concurrent audit assignments for bank branches.

Internal audit

Periodic review of processes, controls and records, with a written report to management.

Forensic audit

Examination of records where there is a concern about irregularities or misstatement.

What an engagement involves

Planning

We agree the scope, timeline and the records required before work begins.

Fieldwork

The team examines accounts, controls and supporting documents.

Reporting

A partner reviews the findings and issues the report and any management letter.

Frequently asked questions

Is an audit mandatory for every company?

Companies incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 are required to appoint an auditor. The rules on who may be appointed and for how long depend on the type of company.

Does an LLP need an audit?

An LLP must be audited when its turnover or contribution exceeds the limits set under the LLP rules. We confirm applicability based on your figures.

What is the difference between statutory and internal audit?

A statutory audit is required by law and reports to owners on the financial statements. An internal audit is commissioned by management to review processes and controls.
